Happy 30th Daddy - Our trip to DC

John and I were able to get away for his 30th birthday. I had been planning this trip for about 5 months and it was really hard to hold it in! John is a pretty huge history buff but has never been able to really enjoy and explore DC and I didn't want him to have to wait till the boys were in 8th grade to go so we went for it! We had a great time. We stayed in an a townhouse just behind the Library of Congress on Capitol Hill . It was close enough to walk everywhere but because of my ever growing tummy we took the metro a lot more then we expected, but by the end of the week we were total pros! We loved: Sunday service at the local Baptist Church, sightseeing, eating, date night EVERY NIGHT, acting like tourists, grocery shopping in the farmers market, museums, exploring Georgetown, our boat ride to Mt Vernon, eating, brainstorming baby names off of graves and memorials, and enjoying a Nationals Baseball Game. So glad we got a chance to get away just the two of us before our new little one enters our home and its even harder to find a sitter:) HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY - we love you and are so blessed by your hard work and dedication to our family. Thank you for loving, providing and serving us the way you do. Thank you for being a such a tangible example of Jesus to our boys. We are so blessed to call you ours!
