Caleb's Birthday Adventures

We let the boys decide if they would rather have a party or go on a trip. And John and I always take a huge sigh of relief when they want to take a trip. We love it, and as fun as planning parties are we would rather spend genuine time as a family and make their day extra sweet.
So the Saturday before his birthday we decided to take Caleb up to the elephant seals in San Simeon. We drove up early that morning and spent a couple hours exploring and watching the crazy beach that was jammed packed with mommas, babies and gigantically territorial papa seals.

We then headed back south and stopped in a cute town called Cayucos (where john and I had just spent the weekend a few weeks prior for my bday)
We played on the pier and watched a sea otter have its breakfast. Then stopped at the local cookie and candy shop for a little treat!

Our next stop was in Arroyo Grande at their local toy store to let Caleb pick out a special toy for his birthday

He picked a light saber...Daddy was pleased

Then head down to Klondike cafe for Pizza and arcade. Its a great place where you get to throw peanut shells on the floor.
The boys loved it.

It was a beautiful day full of memories made and one very special 6 year old!

Caleb also got to share a birthday celebration at G.G.'s house with his awesome auntie CoCo!! He loves her a lot!!

The day of Caleb's actual birthday we took one of his best friends Raymond to Pump it Up for a couple hours then met up with his other best friend Micah for lunch!! It was a perfect way to celebrate Caleb, since he is not much of a party guy!

Blessed to spend six years with this amazing little man!

Okay, seriously... you guys have got to be the coolest family! I think going to see the seals is just plain awesome. Thanks for posting!
