Please Pray

This letter comes from the Bible Couriers Internationl, an organization that travels to countries in need of Gods Word. Please keep them in your prayers as they go and make disciples of all nations! There is serious persecution going on all over our World and we need to get on our knees and lift these followers of Christ in our prayers!

Dear Prayer partner,

On Sept. 13 some 400 uniformed police and civilians bearing shovels, batons, bricks, iron hooks and other weapons beat members of the Fushan church in northeastern China who were sleeping at the nearly finished factory building used as a worship site. With several Fushan County officials involved in the attack, dozens of Christians were seriously injured among the more than 100 who were hurt, according to China Aid Association (CAA) and Compass Direct News.
Following this unprovoked mob attack on the church members and the demolition of their worship site last month, the Communist government ordered officials in “all relevant government agencies” to prepare to use military force against Christians who might react to the attack on the Fushan Church congregation in Linfen city, Shanxi Province.
Then, on Sept. 25 Shanxi Province police detained nine Fushan Church leaders on their way to Beijing to protest the attack, and the next day authorities placed state military police inside and around the main Fushan Church building in Linfen city.

It is not surprising that these and similar crackdowns occurred ahead of the Oct. 1 National Day which marked the sixtieth (60) anniversary of communism in China. The Chinese government wants to show solidarity in all areas of society.
Pray: The Fushan church would be able to turn this evil situation into something that would be a good witness and honor to the Lord.
